Replacing the contoller board

plugging everything in was starightforward but for the power and spindle you have to hold each lead in postion and screw them in , with such a small space it can be akward as your hands block most of the view so can be very fiddley

Got them

Tear downs 10 months ago. Of course, I lost the originals.

Too bad about the wrinkles

I bought a 3020 ProVer Max. Then I bought the 3040 expansion kit. When I went to upgrade my machine, I could not remove the lead screw because 4 of 4 of the screws I had to remove stripped. I managed to get it out anyway, rendering the part unuseable for either the upgrade or original configuration. I contacted Sainsmart, and they immediately sent me the replacement parts. By immediate, I mean a month during which I could not use my mill in any configuration. I finally got the parts and went to upgrade it again. I had to use files to make one part useable, and at least two of the parts in the kit bore no resemblance to either the original machine or the documentation. There was a whole litany of minor annoyances, including no limit switch for the y-axis, so I can't exactly use the machine until they resolve the problem. I, of course, contacted them to resolve the issue--their tech support has been excellent--but then their brilliant algorithm sent me an invitation to review the replacement parts for an upgrade that has failed twice and still isn't resolved. So here it is.
