- Will it work with the PROVerXL 4030 CNC Router Expansion Kit?
- No, the expansion parts 6060/1010 are not available because of the modified ball screw and motor design. However, we are also preparing to launch the 4030V2 expansion parts, please sign up for newsletter to avoid missing any latest news.
- Why should I adjust the Y-axis position?
- It‘s a maintenance action. In order to use the machine with optimum accuracy, we recommend that you make adjustments at the beginning of the installation as shown in the user manual.

The machine is great and the support is the best.
PROVer4030XL V2
Item was delivered on time and the packaging was very well done once I opening the box. Assembled was easy (a little longer than stated but I wanted to make sure I had it right) and initial start up was fairly easy. Instructions on downloading drivers / software could be a little more clear however you should have some experience in computers which most people do in today’s world. The machine appears to be good quality. Heavy enough but not too heavy. It’s relatively quiet with the stock spindle. I purchased this unit because of the closed loop steeper motors and there are no belts. In my research open loop motors and belts tended to be peoples biggest issues with the competitors. I ran a few small projects which turned out great. Still setting up dust collection and an enclosure before I run the machine a lot. I tend to spend more time learning the CAD/CAM programs as that is the biggest part of the process. Understand the design and the machine part is way easier. Only con so far is tramming the machine it a little difficult as there are really no adjustment. A small amount of slack in the bolts and that it. I had to shim my spindle bracket which was easy enough to do and SainSmart are sending some replacement parts. Hopefully that cures the issue but regardless the shim is working. Lots of people say “buy your second machine first” and there is some truth to that but if your looking for a nice starter machine this is a good choice. Space is always an issue and this unit is compact enough. I have a 5 foot work bench and I have just enough room for the machine and laptop. Not much to spare but adequate. I haven’t need customer service for much other than the small tramming issue and they were great in return my email, following up and let me know when the parts are being sent. So far it’s all been a great experience. FYI, this is a great hobby but there is lots to learn. You don’t just take a picture and tell the machine to cut it. The machine is a small part of the overall experience. Download some free software and try it out to get an understanding of the designing and you’ll be way better educated when you buy your machine. When you do buy, this one would be a great consideration.
Great device for beginners
I'm new to the topic and I was able to assemble the device and have my first tasks done in a few hours. I would love to be able to purchase this also in Switzerland! But sadly SainSmart isn't delivering anything to switzerland, except for a crazy price (250$ for delivery only, without taxes and so on). Beside of that, I love the company and their product already!
