OLED Screen dies too quickly
I got this in 2019 and I use it lightly. I went to use it last night after it has been sitting in a compartment in my component box and the screen did not come on. It did heat up and I used it, but man, I probably have less than 100 hours on this device and the screen has died just from sitting around.
Perhaps a new generation of soldering irons?
Wow ! It"s tiny, super light and amazingly fast to heat up! I find the ideal temperature for my solder is around 320C. What a difference to traditional soldering irons! Why only 4 stars? It comes in a nice box, but without the tip mounted. If you want to put back the iron in the box, you have to disassemble it.Not very practical, and for that price (which is value for money) a better suited box would have been worth the last star. But so far I love it...
Best soldering iron I have ever owned
I have been soldering electronic parts for 50 years. I often had to have several soldering irons going because of the variations in temperature of each one. This is an all-in-one tool. It heats to temperature in 5 seconds. You can adjust temperature in 10 degree C increments. The small size is a tremendous help. This is a must have if you are serious about quality soldering that doesn't damage the parts by being too hot.
